Melanie P. Meixner, AIA

Principal

A graduate of the College of Architecture at Texas Tech University, Melanie Meixner, AIA, has been in the profession since 1997. In 2000, Melanie joined the MWM team and became a principal in 2004. She is a member of several organizations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Texas Society of Architects, and AIA Lubbock. Melanie’s work focuses on several markets, including non-profit, religious, higher education, and especially K-12 schools. During her time in the practice, she has done projects for the South Plains Food Bank in Lubbock, TX, St. Elizabeth’s University Parish in Lubbock, TX, the Christian Life Center at the First United Methodist Church in Lubbock, TX, and many school districts in and around Lubbock, including Snyder, Slaton, Muleshoe, Wall, and Crosbyton. She has also worked on several projects for both Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech University. Melanie currently sits on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Lubbock.

Aside from architecture, Melanie has a passion for rescuing animals. She works with the Humane Society of West Texas to temporarily foster animals in need of homes. If you’re looking for a pet, she can help you out!
